Is StriVectin Skin Care Still Relevant?

If you’ve been buying skin care products for any length of time, especially anti aging creams, you’ve undoubtedly heard of StriVectin SD. It came out with a bang a few years back and carried the slogan "Better Than Botox" – even though it’s a topical treatment and has nothing to do with fillers or injections. The marketing for the StriVectin skin care line was absolutely remarkable. This is what they did…

As the story goes, StriVectin was originally developed as a treatment for stretch marks. During the testing period, the stretch mark cream was used over a period of time and I guess some of the testers must have decided to try it on their face. This is where the story gets interesting… they found out that it worked really well on their wrinkles!

Back when the product was first released as an anti-wrinkle treatment it was hard to find. And the manufacturer used this fact to their marketing advantage. I can remember seeing full page magazine advertisements with ordering instructions. The ads went on to say that you could buy the cream in a few limited stores, but since it was out of stock so often because of demand it was best to order it right at that moment. I bought my first tube at a department store – and as the ad mentioned, there were only 3 or 4 of them in stock at that time. Boy, did I feel lucky to have one!

Well, things have changed and StriVectin SD can be found everywhere these days. I guess the fact that it’s still around and even easier to get that it was a few years ago means the product is a success and customers are happy with it. If you never got a chance to try it back when it first came out, you can still use StriVectin skin care products today. They work on wrinkles and they still work on stretch marks, too!
